Factory V4 Preview: Upgrades and Optimizations to Look Out for in the Forward Marketplace
Web3 has grown significantly in recent times, with traditional systems gaining more exposure to blockchain-based innovations and investment opportunities. These resulting hybrid industries combine the best of both worlds, including the fast-paced evolution synonymous with blockchain. While this can be an advantage, it can also be difficult for users to keep up with these transitions.
Forward stepped up to make Web3 accessible to users at different levels of technical knowledge through the Forward Marketplace. It also means the Marketplace has to evolve with the times. Fortunately, these evolutions come with the Forward guarantee to simplify these changes so users don’t have to deal with a steep learning curve as they interact with Web3.
Gather here as we explore the latest upgrades and optimizations in the Forward Marketplace as well as how these improvements enhance the user experience, drive growth, and provide a competitive edge for your business.
Customization Options in the Marketplace
Since its launch, the Forward Factory has become the number one hub for developers and users to create and deploy Web3 templates for their personal or business needs. However, Version 4 of the Forward Factory takes customization to a new level, introducing new templates and many more customization options to the Marketplace.
V4 has more personalization options than previous versions of the Forward Factory. Users can find one of these new personalization options on the Forward user info page, which allows them to add their social media accounts and website links to their profile. The user info page also lets them track their templates and deployments in one place.
The new templates in the Marketplace are the products of the collaborative work between our team, stakeholders, and the community based on demand and relevance. The V4 Marketplace will also include the templates that emerged during our maiden Forward Hackathon at ITMO University.
These new templates come with default content that users can customize according to their preferences. They can use drag-and-drop commands to customize the front-end user interface and the admin panel for deployers to manage their templates.
The ‘Preview’ button allows developers and deployers to quickly generate a sample page showing the front-end and admin panel before they even start customizing the template. The sample template gives them additional resources to consider before committing any time or effort to customizing and deploying the template.
The addition of the new ‘Save as Draft’ functionality also gives deployers more flexibility to pause and revisit their templates during the deployment phase without losing their progress.
The end product is an entirely unique template that even users with absolutely zero technical knowledge can deploy in a few easy steps.
Revamped User Interface for the Factory
Not only does the V4 Forward Factory come with functionality upgrades, it also features wholesale aesthetic upgrades. Faster loading pages, cleaner typography, and smoother animations are some of the things you can look forward to in the Marketplace when it launches.
The new UI of the Forward Factory allows users to check out the Marketplace even without registering or signing into their account. So, not only does Forward hold the doors open for seamless Web3 adoption, it also saves users time and energy by allowing them to window shop for templates before making any commitments.
API Optimization with Security Enhancements
Interconnected is a major requirement for any blockchain-based system, and APIs play a major role in supporting the back-end communications that facilitate these connections. The Forward Factory also integrates these APIs to ensure the seamless user experience our community has become accustomed to in earlier iterations of the Marketplace.
In the V4 Marketplace, we have streamlined the operations of these APIs to enhance loading speeds and overall performance for users.
We also made a critical improvement to ensure the security of personal data and the entire Forward Factory by identifying and removing sensitive data from the API responses. That way, we minimize the exposure risk of data that could be used maliciously, such as personal identifiers or sensitive information.
The security headers in the API responses in the V4 Forward Factory have also been improved to enhance the system’s overall security. These headers help protect against various types of cyberattacks and vulnerabilities.
Another security buff to the Forward Factory is the comprehensive defense mechanisms we implemented to safeguard against CSRF (Cross-Site Request Forgery) attacks and clickjacking threats. By mitigating these risks, we resolve vulnerabilities that would have allowed malicious actors to access unauthorized commands, confidential user information, or to control their computers.
Looking Forward to the V4 Marketplace
A peak here and a teaser there — that’s how we’ve drummed up the excitement for the launch of our Forward Factory Version 4 mainnet. We have so much more in store as we explore new avenues to leverage the latest technology, such as artificial intelligence capabilities, in-built management and execution systems, major network integrations, and APIs.
The upgrades have vastly enhanced the Forward Factory’s speed, safety, and integrity. The optimizations and API enhancements have also improved the user experience all around. Stay tuned to our social media channels for updates as we ramp up to the launch of our eagerly anticipated V4 Forward Factory.
