Forward Protocol x Kima Partnership — A Commitment to Web3 Usability, Interoperability, and Liquidity Resolution
The Forward Protocol project is excited to announce its partnership with Kima to improve the Web3 user experience by leveraging our dynamic and innovative interoperability and liquidity solutions.
Forward Protocol continues to advance in its commitment to make decentralized systems more accessible through customizable and non-technical solutions. We are delighted to announce the details of our latest stride toward our ultimate goal to promote and reward blockchain adoption.
We have entered a collaboration with Kima to leverage our industry-leading innovations to facilitate accessible and user-friendly Web3 ecosystems for every potential user. Working together, we aim to deliver the ultimate Web3 experience and unlock its full potential through a user-friendly interface.
What is Kima? 🔍
Kima is a blockchain that tackles the interoperability problems caused by liquidity fragmentation among DeFi systems. Kima addresses this problem by providing a simple, secure mechanism for users to perform cross-chain atomic swaps without wrapping tokens.
The Kima Protocol defragments DeFi by providing an open infrastructure and building blocks for cross-chain apps -
- a robust technological infrastructure,
- pre-made functionality blocks,
- tokenomics,
- apps.
Kima’s infrastructure facilitates the seamless cross-chain transfer of digital assets through a network of decentralized liquidity pools. By creating and managing liquidity pools across several Layer 1 and Layer 2 blockchains, value can be transferred 1:1 without relying on synthetic/wrapped assets or centralized players. The Kima protocol monitors and synchronizes assets across these blockchains via a decentralized settlement layer and provides a simple and secure mechanism for allowing users to perform cross-chain atomic transfers and swaps without wrapping tokens.
Kima ensures the security of its infrastructure by delivering its interoperability solution without using smart contracts, which removes a critical point of potential attack vectors. It also supports stable and reliable fiat bridges to facilitate seamless payment channels for traditional users and Web2 customers exploring Web3 services and dApps.
Partnership Details 🤝
Forward Protocol does not compete with anybody; we collaborate to make blockchain adoption seamless and straightforward. Through our partnership with Kima, we aim to remove one of the biggest barriers to adopting this technology (interoperability) and present a user-friendly Web3 experience for DeFi users and participants.
Poor and unstable value transfer channels between siloed systems remain a significant barrier to DeFi adoption. Kima shares our belief in the potential of Web3 and mirrors our commitment to resolving this issue, among others limiting Web3 adoption.
Mitch Rankin, Forward Protocol Co-Founder, said:
“The blockchain industry continues to evolve, and we have grown to the stage where even the early pessimists have begun exploring ways to get in on the action. However, new users often face different hurdles that eventually wear them out. We aim to remove these barriers and appreciate the opportunity to collaborate with other projects that share this vision. Working with Kima allows us to explore new ways to reach our collective goal faster and more efficiently. We are excited to be moving forward together.”
Kima Protocol exec:
“People that witnessed the evolution of personal computers know how command line interfaces limited their usability during the early DOS days. However, they reached new levels of popularity when companies learned to combine innovation with usability for non-technical users. Similarly, Web3 can’t continue to focus solely on innovation without resolving the user experience. We are collaborating with Forward Protocol to resolve these issues with a level of simplification that no one has explored yet. This collective vision is the motivation for our collaboration, and we look forward to growing together”, shared Eitan Katz, the CEO at Kima.
The partnership between Forward Protocol and Kima aims to lay the foundation for interoperability and efficient value transfer systems throughout the Web3 space.
