Forward Q1 2025 Review

3 min readApr 8, 2025

The first quarter of 2025 has been about revitalizing the magic of the Forward Factory, and we’ve hunkered down on crossing off the items on our to-do list.

So far, the year has been a combination of technical developments and aesthetic upgrades cumulating into back-end fixes and front-end optimizations that give us the intuitive, comprehensive Forward experience that keeps us coming back for more Web3 magic.

Our focus is on April already, but let’s spare a quick second to run through the biggest updates we shared between January and March.

The Forward Factory is the Portal to Web3

In case you missed any of the Forward Factory updates we shared during the quarter:

  • Frontend and admin template uploads: This upgrade allows developers to upload custom-built frontend and admin panel templates for their dApps. Developers can integrate Forward APIs into pre-built frontend or admin panel code, with support for React, Angular, Vue, and JavaScript frameworks.
  • Map tags: This optimization and efficiency upgrade automatically inputs the function names from developers’ smart contracts. Developers can still manually input, customize, or make corrections to tags whenever they want.
  • Template customization options: Forward Factory users now have more opportunities to customize templates in the Marketplace, turning them into personalized dApps that executive their Web3 visions.
  • User info page: The interface has been redesigned and optimized to make users’ Web3 experiences smooth and seamless.
  • Template creation process: Template reviewers can now unpublish templates and revert to the “In Review” stage for further edits. Developers can also cancel their pending reviews to make changes before re-uploading them for review.
  • Custom name: Developers can add custom names for their templates directly from the “Publish to Marketplace” page. It allows developers to distinguish their templates and connect to their target audience from the Marketplace.
  • Template documentation and attachments: When publishing to the Forward Marketplace, developers can also attach deployment tutorials and audit reports to gain deployers’ confidence.

Clear documentation and security proof give Marketplace users confidence about the reliability of developers’ work, which ultimately leads to more earnings and reputational boosts.

We’re already on pace for a strong second quarter. Whether you want a no-code experience or prefer a full-code workflow, why don’t you visit the Marketplace to get a feel for the Forward Factory that makes Web3 work for all?
