What a month!

What comes after December, before February, and goes on forever?

Offices re-opened, people went back to work to deal with all the awkwardness, while remote workers waited for the last set of holiday visitors to return to their homes.

Well, most offices closed, and remote workers took the time off to visit and receive family during the holidays. In their defense, not all offices and their remote staff are committed to changing the world through a suite of blockchain adoption solutions. That sacred mission is reserved for Forward Protocol, and we stood up to the task when it mattered most.

Forward Protocol never stopped and we maintained our forward momentum throughout January. So, what did we get up to this last month?

Project development

This is the blockchain. Everybody talks up a big game, only a few deliver.

The entire Forward Protocol team understands the magnitude of the task before us, and if you would bet on anyone to deliver, it’s this group.

Community interaction

Throughout January, our co-founders continued as they had begun, interacting with community members to help retain the community’s concentration and optimism. We launched Forward After Hours, a community AMA that features our co-founders chatting about our progress and answering questions from our community members. Throughout January, we went through five episodes of Forward After Hours, and it seems to be already catching on. You can catch up on everything you missed on our YouTube channel.

Go Forward and IVO round

Community interactions would be a moot point if we don’t take any of your suggestions seriously. The community asked for another chance to own $FORWARD and contribute to our growth, and we made it happen through GoForward, Forward’s very own launchpad, and our final token sale — the IVO round.

Partners, meetings, and good press

One of our biggest advocates, Mr. KEY, moved out to Dubai, and the mission was simple — Propagate the Forward Protocol vision. Our co-founder took to this task like no one else can, meeting our strategic partners from @acknoledger, co-founders @ydcurious, @rbkasr and Kuntal Ganguly in Dubai! He has also gotten busy chatting with community members and partners too. It looks like we are in safe hands there.

Community development

In case you forgot, Forward Protocol is building the toolkits to make blockchain adoption easy and rewarding. It wouldn’t count as forward thinking if we picked your brains, which have given us amazing ideas by the way, and not reward these contributions. How can anyone top the sticker pack you created and we curated during the meme contest?

Community contests

We had three amazing events in January, with unbeatable prizes on offer — our art contest and partnership bounty campaign. These contests allowed us to feel the strength of our community, even though it was never in doubt. With the caliber of entries we received, it would have taken a phenomenal entry to come out on top, and boy did our winner stand up to be counted!

We had some fun naming the community mascot together, W3–4U! Our bounty contest is still on, so you know what to do. You should also keep your eyes peeled for future contests. We promise there’ll be more.

Local communities

We all have fun hanging out in our global communities, but it wouldn’t hurt to connect with people within your area code once in a while. That’s why we need local communities.

What next?
